Guillermo del Toro‘s next project continues to raise eyebrows to Carlo Ancelotti levels of intrigue with news that Idris Elba could be about to join Pacific Rim. The Wrap reports that Legendary Pictures is ‘interested‘ in getting Elba on board for an as yet unknown role in the film.

Elba also potentially has Django Unchained in his sights, which may clash with Pacific Rim, while he‘s currently filming Ridley Scott‘s Prometheus. Expect to hear if the 38–year–old Brit will be setting sail for Pacific Rim soon.

Daniel Craig may be about to become ever–present on our cinema screens with the releases of Cowboys Aliens and David Fincher‘s The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo this year, but we now know when he‘ll finally don his Bond tuxedo again: 26th October 2012. The US will receive it two weeks later on 9th November.

As previously reported, Oscar–winner Sam Mendes will be taking the director‘s reins this time, making this Bond (working title: Bond 23) one of the most hotly anticipated films of the series so far. Judi Dench will be returning as M, while Ralph Fiennes and Javier Bardem have also been rumoured to appear.
